The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Sac Shop #509, 111 Limekiln Rd. New Cumberland, June 25. Fail. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed four half gallons of expired Galliker’s chocolate milk dated June 24, 2024, which should have been pulled from the refrigerated shelf. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Food employees using manual warewashing sink as a handwashing sink, as evidenced by hand-washing soap is stationed at the three bay sink area. Coffee urns/equipment, too large for manual or mechanical warewash compartments, was not disassembled for adequate cleaning. Observed manual ware-washing three bay sink with accumulation of filth, chemical bottles in sink and food and in need of cleaning before use to wash equipment. Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the three bay sink area. Mops are not being hung to air dry.
