The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Angelo’s, 1032 S. 5th Ave. Lebanon, May 24. Pass. Non-food contact surface (floor) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease and old food particles in the kitchen.

City Edge Coffee, mobile food facility Type 3, 1404 Weavertown Rd. Lebanon, May 24. Pass. Scoop being stored in the ice storage container with handle touching the ice. Thermometers for ensuring proper temperatures of food are not available or readily accessible. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Food facility has an employee that has taken food safety training program; however, the food safety program was not an ANSI/CFP accredited Certified Food Manager program.

K-Ville Hotel & Tavern, 2647 Heidelberg Ave. Kleinfeltersville, May 23. Pass. Several foods were not being cooled in manner that they would go from 135°F to 41°F within 4 hours after preparation. Procedures were adjusted to provide proper cooling. Assorted foods in the server refrigerator were held at 43-45°F, rather than 41°F or below as required for longer than 4 hours. The food was voluntarily discarded. Non-food contact surfaces, such as shelving, not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Food debris on floor under grill line.

Pho Bar & Grill, 103 W. Main St. Annville, May 23. Pass. Chicken was held at 46°F, in the walk-in cooler, rather than 41°F or below as required. Pork was held at 44°F, in the walk-in cooler, rather than 41°F or below as required. Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in refrigerators, is not being date marked. Non-food contact surfaces (hood filters) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease.

The Franklin House Tavern, 101 N. Market St. Schaefferstown, May 22. Pass. Several containers on the drying shelf observed to have oily residue and were not clean to sight and touch. Removed for cleaning. Non-food contact surfaces such as shelving not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.

KFC, 1 N. Londonderry Square, Palmyra, May 22. Pass. Food employees observed in the food preparation area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as nets, hats, or beard covers.

Miaa Mexican Bistro, 615 E. Main St. Palmyra, May 22. Pass. Food employee observed in the kitchen, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Toilet rooms do not have a self-closing door.

The Caffeination Station, 707 E. Broad St. Palmyra, May 22. Pass. Food employee observed in the kitchen, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in refrigerators in the food preparation area.

7th St. Bar + Grill, 1663 N. 7th St. Lebanon, May 21. Pass. Food employee observed in the kitchen, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Dairy product (cream) was held at 59 °F, in a refrigerator in the kitchen, rather than 41°F or below as required. The interior of the ice machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have mold and was not clean to sight and touch.

Light’s Victorian Farmhouse, 81 Wampler Rd. Lebanon, May 20. Pass. Food facility is using an approved non-public water system, but does not have current laboratory testing results for water potability.
