[HARRISBURG, PA] – Explore the lifecycle of chocolate from cacao pods to sweet treats with WITF and PBS KIDS’ Curious George at Ready, Set, Explore Science of Chocolate on Saturday, June 15 between 10am and 1pm at the Hershey Public Library, 701 Cocoa Ave., Hershey.

This free family event is open to the public and learning activities are designed for kids and teens, ages 3 – 14 years old. Free tickets are available at witf.org/RSXchocolate.

“Science of Chocolate offers a sweet path of discovery! Children will explore chocolate-themed educational activities designed to spark curiosity,” said WITF Director of Education Jennifer Eley.

Families will discover where chocolate comes from and how it is turned into the sweet treat that most are familiar with today. Children can design a candy bar wrapper, explore coding and robotics, meet and take a picture with PBS KIDS’ Curious George and enjoy bilingual story times with WITF’s original character, Tia Flora.

Each child who attends Ready, Set, Explore Science of Chocolate can choose a free book to take home. Free tickets are available at witf.org/RSXchocolate.

WITF’s Ready, Set, Explore Science of Chocolate is presented by WITF with support from The Hershey Company and UPMC.
