Burger King, 8 Fisher Ave. Jonestown, Complaint, April 5. Pass. No violations.

Babe’s Grill House & Sports Lounge, 312 Main St. Palmyra, April 4. Pass. A food employee was observed touching sliced fruit – a ready to eat food – with bare hands. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required.

Hoss’s Steak & Sea House #42, 1235 E. Main St. Annville, April 4. Pass. Exit door located in the rear of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.

One Stop Corner, LLC, 1038 Church St. Lebanon, April 4. Pass. Several raw animal foods, eggs and bacon, were stored above ready to eat foods in the facility. Observed one rack of chips/snacks that has product less than six inches from the floor. Deli ham and tuna salad were held at 44°F and 45°F, in the bain marie sandwich prep refrigeration unit, rather than 41°F or below as required. Note: this was due to the positioning of these items in the unit; they were stored above the closed pans that were properly positioned in the unit. Other food in this equipment was held at the proper temperature. The ham and tuna were discarded. Person in charge had difficulty finding test strips; when found, the package had not been opened; therefore, test strips are apparently not being utilized. One roll of toilet tissue was not on the dispenser. Removed.

Subway #54838, 9 E. Main St. Annville, April 4. Pass. The interior of the ice machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have mold and was not clean to sight and touch. PRIOR VIOLATION 02/23/2023. The handwash sink in the men’s restroom does not have single use towels, continuous towels, or air drying device.

Ninh Kieu Vietnamese Cuisine, 344 E. Main St. Annville, April 3. Pass. Scoop being stored in the ice storage container with handle touching the ice.

Dunkin Donuts, 101 Larkspur Dr. Palmyra, April 2. Pass. Food employee observed in food preparation area, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Women’s toilet room is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary napkins.

Funck’s Restaurant, 664 W. Main St. Palmyra, April 2. Pass. Observed boxes of food stored directly on the floor in walk-in freezer, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. The interior of the ice machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have mold and was not clean to sight and touch. Can opener blade, a food contact surface, was observed to have old food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Non-food contact surface (floor) in the food storage room is not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.

Texas Roadhouse 328, 61 N. Londonderry Square, Palmyra, April 2. Pass. Food employees observed in the food preparation area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as nets, hats, or beard covers.

Cool Beans Brew, mobile food facility Type 3, 428 Wilshire Dr. Lebanon, Opening, April 1. Pass. No violations.

Papa John’s Pizza, 650 Penn Ave. Lebanon, April 1. Pass. No violations.

Roquez Convenience Store & Groceries II, 301 Cumberland St Lebanon, April 1. Pass. Commercially processed ready to eat food (tres leches), located in the reach-in refrigeration unit, and held more than 48 hours, is not being marked with the date it was made or should be sold by.

Weis Markets #148, 1651 Cumberland St. Lebanon, April 1. Pass. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in the deli holding unit. Non-food contact surfaces (walk-in cooler fan guards) in the produce department are not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dust.
