Rey Azteca of Palmyra, 14 N. Londonderry Square, Palmyra, March 29. Pass. Scoop being stored in the ice storage container with handle touching the ice. Food Employee is not using available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine sanitizer concentration.

Wendy’s #19218, 1490 E. Lehman St. Lebanon, Complaint, March 29. Pass. No violations.

Foltz’s Pretzels, 35 S. 8th St. (market) Lebanon, March 28. Pass. A fan in the prep area of the facility had a very heavy accumulation of dirt/debris on it. Manager said the fan will be cleaned.

Aldi Inc #098, 105 N. 11th Ave. Lebanon, March 28. Pass. No violations.

Colebrook Tavern & Restaurant, 1510 Mount Wilson Rd. Lebanon, March 28. Pass. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration.

Golden China, 925 Cumberland St. Lebanon, Follow-up, March 28. Pass. A sheet pan holding clean food equipment near the 3-compartment sink, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and other debris and was not clean to sight and touch. Cleaned. The assistant Person in Charge reported that there is a leak in the walk-in cooler. Potential rodent harborage areas on the exterior of the building perimeter observed by the rear door due to plastic soft-drink racks stored along the building with leaves and other debris. Moved racks. Food facility inspection indicates evidence of insect activity in prep area. The facility does have a pest control program, but the facility is not cleaning under equipment and other areas to eliminate conditions favorable pests. Frequency of cleaning behind and under equipment is inadequate as evidenced by debris on the floors under equipment.

Willow Garden, 50 N. 9th St. Lebanon, Type 3 Follow-up, March 28. Pass. The interior surfaces of the microwave, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Microwave was cleaned immediately.

Gossert’s Homemade Goodness, 178 Distillery Rd. Newmanstown, March 27. Pass. No violations.

Ice Shack, 707 E. Lincoln Ave. Myerstown, March 27. Pass. No violations.

Londonderry Village, 1200 Grubb Rd. Palmyra, March 27. Pass. No violations.

Mama Juana, 39 N. 9th St. Lebanon, Follow-up, March 27. Pass. Chicken and beans were held at 125°F and 120°F, in the hot food area, rather than 135°F or above as required. Removed items. Owner reported that a new steam table has been purchased and will be installed. The edges of refrigerator drawers and the bottom of the refrigeration drawer unit, non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Cleaned. Observed new take-out food containers in the prep area, stored uncovered or not inverted. Corrected. The men’s toilet room by the stairs does not have a self-closing door. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the men’s toilet room by the stairs. Note: owner reported that the sign had been removed for painting and will be posted. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the prep area.

The Happy Waffle, mobile food facility Type 3, 1421 Cornwall Rd. Lebanon, March 27. Pass. No violations.

A&M Pizza, 2900 Horseshoe Pike, Palmyra, March 26. Pass. Observed wet wiping cloths in the food preparation area, not being stored in sanitizer solution.

Black Diamond Restaurant, LLC, 607 Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 26. Pass. Food facility is storing wiping cloths in chlorine solution, but the test strips that the facility has are not for chlorine. If the facility would use the Steramine sanitizer, they have the corresponding type of test strips. Observed clean food equipment in the prep area, stored uncovered or not inverted. No soap, towels or trash can was available at one of the handwashing sinks. Corrected.

Lin Garden, 106 Northside Commons, Palmyra, March 26. Pass. Food employee observed in the food preparation area, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Observed chicken in the walk-in cooler stored open with no covering. Observed wet wiping cloths in the food preparation area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. Observed plastic containers of food stored directly on the floor in the walk-in cooler, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required.
