99 Express, 613 W. Main St. Unit 4, Palmyra, March 22. Pass. Chicken was observed thawing at room temperature on the food preparation table, which is not an approved thawing method. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Non-food contact surfaces (hood filters) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease.

Greek Town Pizza, 542 Walnut St. Lebanon, Complaint, March 22. Pass. Three plastic food storage containers were broken and/or cracked. Items were discarded. One container of food equipment, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Cleaned container and items.

Lucky’s Pizzeria, 757 W. Main St. Palmyra, March 22. Pass. Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required. Can opener blade, a food contact surface, was observed to have old food residue and was not clean to sight and touch.

Weis Markets #094, 901 Main St. Palmyra, March 22. Pass. Non-food contact surfaces (walk-in cooler fan guards) in the produce department are not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dust. Non-food contact surfaces (walk-in cooler fan guards) in the deli department are not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dust. Non-food contact surface (floor) in the deli food preparation area is not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease.

A&J Pizza, 2134 W. Maple St. Lebanon, March 21. Pass. Non-food contact surfaces (refrigerator fan guards) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dust.

Jibarito Bakery & Cafeteria, 1612 N. 7th St. Lebanon, Change of Owner, March 21. Pass. No violations.

Dragon Garden Restaurant, 535 Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 20. Pass. Rice was held at 117°F, in the prep area, rather than 135°F or above as required. Removed the batch of rice.

House of Cards, 625 Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 20. Pass. No violations.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, 2203 Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 20. Pass. Food employee observed in food preparation area, not wearing a proper hair restraint. Food storage containers were observed to have old food residue and were not clean to sight and touch. The handwash sink located in the restroom does not have water at a temperature of at least 85°F. The water temperature was 59°F at the time of inspection.

Wertz Candies Inc, 718 Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 19. Pass. Observed deteriorated sponges above the rear sink. Sponges were discarded. Note: Sponges are not to be used in contact with cleaned and sanitized or in-use food-contact surfaces. The light in the employee toilet room is turned on and off by a string. The pull string is being used prior to handwashing because the handwashing sink is outside of the toilet room. String cannot be cleaned. Note: the string was replaced with a chain on the following day, March 20, 2024. Observed one cracked plastic bench scraper. Discarded. The door to the employee toilet room, a non-food contact surface, is not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Door was cleaned during the inspection.

Cedar Grill, 1800 E Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 18. Pass. Commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food, located in refrigerators, and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Non-food contact surface (floor) in the food preparation area is not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease and old food particles. Non-food contact surface (refrigerator fan guard) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dust.

Hearth Family Restaurant, 2550 W. Cumberland St. Lebanon, March 18. Pass. A food employee was observed touching bread – a ready to eat food – with bare hands. Observed wet wiping cloths in the food preparation area, not being stored in sanitizer solution. Non-food contact surfaces (fryer and grill area) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of grease and old food particles.
