The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Zhaga Coffee Shop, mobile food facility Type T, 3465 N. 6 St. Harrisburg, Opening, Feb. 17. Pass. Observed air gaps around exhaust vent when off and louvers are closed. Manager/owner needs to install weather stripping or screens to prevent insects from entering when louvers are closed.

Del Taco of Hershey/Fresh Market at Hershey’s Towne Square, 121 Towne Square Dr. Suite 102, Hershey, Feb. 15. Pass. No violations.

Sheetz #219, 2300 Colonial Rd. Harrisburg, Opening, Feb. 13. Pass. No violations.

99 Walnut Express, 3402 Walnut St. Harrisburg, Feb. 12. Pass. Milk and other types of food was held at 53°F, in the walk-in cooler, rather than 41°F or below as required. This unit is not functioning properly and needs to be repaired by a service provider. Stove exhaust filters and fire suppression nozzles have grease droplets that may cross contaminate food beneath it on the stove. This is also a fire hazard. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. Old food residue observed on top surfaces of table tops, containers and other types of equipment. Microwave was soiled inside and outside with old food residue. Facility needs to improve their cleaning program.

Springhill Suites Hershey, 115 Museum Dr. Hershey, Feb. 12. Pass. No violations.

Summit International School of Ministry, 74 Harrison School Rd. Grantville, Opening, Feb. 12. Pass. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Observed the following on food contact surfaces: Utensils stored in containers with food debris/crumbs in them, Corrected on site; Manual can opener with old food residue around blade, Corrected on site.

Thoroughbreds, 10104 Jonestown Rd. Grantville, Feb. 12. Pass. Loose rubber door gaskets observed on the Maytag chest freezer. Observed cobwebs hanging from Ansel system above stove with possibility to contaminate food being cooked below. Mops are not being hung to air dry.

Upper Dauphin Area Elementary School, 5668 Route 209 Lykens, Feb. 12. Pass. Food facility is reusing sour cream containers, which are intended to be a single-service or single-use article, to store food. REPEAT VIOLATION. Observed a hose shutoff and a chemical station downstream from the atmospheric vacuum breaker. No shutoffs or chemical stations are allowed beyond the AVB without the use of bleeder valves.

Upper Dauphin Area Middle School, 5668 Route 209, Lykens, Feb. 12. Pass. Observed ice on the pipes of the Walk-in freezer condenser unit and on the case of eggs below. Ice is from a non-potable water source and therefore could cause contamination.
