Finding Your Roots profiles Bob Odenkirk, an actor, comedian, and filmmaker best known for his role as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad (2008-13) and Better Call Saul (2015-22). As a decorated creative, Odenkirk has been nominated for five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and six nominations for Outstanding Drama Series as a producer on Better Call Saul. In 1989 and 1993, he won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series for his work as a writer for Saturday Night Live (1987-91) and The Ben Stiller Show (1992). His notoriety led to roles in Fargo (2014), The Post (2017), Incredibles 2 (2018), and Nobody (2021).

Iliza Shlesinger is a comedian, actress, writer, and producer who had a standup world tour, Hard Feelings, in Summer of 2023. Shlesinger has completed five Netflix standup specials, War Paint (2013), Freezing Hot (2015), Confirmed Kills (2016), Unveiled (2019), Elder Millennial (2018), and Hot Forever (2022), which is her sixth release. Her acting career consists of the Netflix comedy Good on Paper, and the #1 Netflix film Spenser Confidential co-starring Mark Wahlberg, the independent film Pieces of a Woman, Instant Family with Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, and her comedy series on Netflix, The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.
