It’s Friday when The Spark welcomes journalists onto the program to provide insight into a few of the significant news stories around Pennsylvania.

Next Tuesday is Pennsylvania’s primary election and even though it’s considered an “off-year” election – meaning we’re not voting for president or governor – we will pick candidate for judges, and local officials like county commissioners, mayors and municipal council members. Gov. Josh Shapiro also signed his first bill into law and it focuses on women’s health.

Joining us Friday was Bruce Siwy, Pennsylvania State Capital Bureau reporter for the USA Today Network, which includes more than a dozen newspapers in the state.
