Six years have passed, and we’ve made it to the summer of 1939. The dark clouds of World War II loom over Europe, but the regulars at Seaside Hotel have once again gone on holiday to the idyll North Sea.

The regulars return to the North Sea to try and escape their troubles, but Amanda is struggling to keep her small film company afloat and Weyse is suffering from stage fright.
Later on, Leslie becomes fascinated with the maid Nana, a member of Mrs. Fjeldso’s family makes waves at the hotel after escaping a German concentration camp, and much more.
