Airdate: February 17, 2023

One of the nation’s most infamous crimes occurred in New York’s Central Park in April, 1989.

A white female jogger was beaten and raped. Five Black and Latino teenagers were accused of the crime.

The Central Park Five as they became to be known, confessed after three days of intense interrogation by police. They all were convicted even though they were innocent, but spent years in prison or juvenile facilities.

Eventually, another man confessed and DNA exonerated the Central Park Five.

Kevin Richardson was one of them and was in Gettysburg last weekend where he told his story.
