Wedding bells chime and animal ailments are eased as we head back to the Yorkshire Dales for season three of All Creatures Great and Small on Sundays at 9pm starting on January 8.

World War II looms on the horizon, and we’ll see Siegfried struggle as he faces painful memories from his deployment during the First World War when he served in combat with the Army Veterinary Corps.

But there will be joy, laughter, growth, and everyday challenges, too. James and Helen must learn how to live a new life together, James faces headwinds as he expands the veterinary practice, Tristan works to establish himself as a more serious man (and qualified vet), and Audrey Hall begins to imagine what life might look like outside of Skeldale House.

Plus, Mrs. Pumphrey and Tricki Woo are back – which all but guarantees some silliness and levity.

Change is afoot in the rural Yorkshire veterinary practice immortalized by author James Herriot’s beloved stories. Professional and personal relationships mature, new partnerships are formed, and ghosts from the past are faced.

But some things never change – the drive to do right by the animals and the folks who depend on them is placed above all else.
