There are some very reliable Christmas traditions – It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol, and The Nutcracker Suite… or maybe your traditions include A Christmas Story, Elf, and Die Hard.
Either way, there’s one more tradition you can count on each year, and that’s the return of Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Ghosts of Christmas Eve, a luminous blend of heartwarming Christmas fable and a rousing concert performance by the acclaimed Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Ghosts of Christmas Eve tells the tale of a runaway girl who shelters in an abandoned theater. An old caretaker (Ossie Davis) brings the theater to life one last time. Jewel, Michael Crawford, and TSO bring the magic of Christmas to both the girl and viewers everywhere, and help the girl turn her life around on a fated, snow-filled Christmas Eve.
TSO’s rock operas, which combine the dynamics of a symphonic orchestra with the power of a rock band, were the creation of Paul O’Neill who – along with long-time collaborators Jon Oliva, Al Pitrelli, and Bon Kinkel – created a modern format for classic Christmas music.
During the broadcast, viewers will have the opportunity to donate to WITF and we’ll thank you with tickets to see the annual Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at the Giant Center in Hershey this December.
