  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

La Otra Mirada, the Spanish language drama, has been temporarily removed from our broadcast schedule and from Passport. This series has been running Thursdays at 10pm. It will return to the schedule and to WITF Passport soon. An issue with the closed captioning was uncovered which deemed it non-compliant for broadcast.  PBS is obligated to correct the captioning quality before it may resume.

For Thursday October 20, episode 5 of La Otra Mirada will be replaced with an encore of this past Monday’s Antiques Roadshow.  We anticipate episode 105 broadcasting Thursday October 27 and subsequent episodes shifting a week.

We apologize for the inconvenience. This issue developed last minute and is beyond our control.
