  • Christina Zeiders

Henry Crabbe, a reluctant detective with a passion for food, gets ready to retire and open his own restaurant, Pie in the Sky. But his former supervisor, Chief Constable Fisher, keep drawing Crabbe back into investigations.

Pie in the Sky was originally broadcast on the BBC from 1994 – 1997. After 25 years on the job, Crabbe wants to retire from police work and set up his restaurant. His boss is unwilling to let Crabbe leave, so he frames Crabbe for a crime and blackmails him into taking on an occasional case. The series follows Crabbe as he balances his coerced police work with his responsibilities at the restaurant he owns with his wife, Margaret.

The series stars Richard Griffiths as Henry Crabbe, Maggie Steed as Margaret Crabbe, and Malcolm Sinclair as Chief Constable Freddy Fisher.
