The Neiger Family: They Survived Together
The true story of one family’s vow to escape certain death in Nazi occupied Kraków
-
Christina Zeiders
The Neiger family were living a peaceful life in Kraków’s Jewish community before World War II changed their lives forever.
After Nazi soldiers forced the family from their home into the harsh life of the Ghetto, they hatched a plan to escape as a family. When circumstances forced them to separate from their older brother Ben, their resolve to survive was put to the test.
Siblings Cesia, Ben, Hanka, Basia, and Tosia share first-hand accounts of their family’s journey to freedom and a new life in America – one of the few to survive as an intact family.
