  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

MASTERPIECE PBS “Les Misérables” Shown: Fantine (LILY COLLINS)

Victor Hugo’s masterpiece comes to television in a six-part adaptation by multi- award-winning screenwriter Andrew Davies.

Dominic West stars as fugitive Jean Valjean, with David Oyelowo as his pursuer Inspector Javert and Lily Collins as the luckless single mother Fantine.

Ellie Bamber and Josh O’Connor costar as the young lovers Cosette and Marius.

WITF presents an encore of this series which first premiered on Masterpiece in 2019. Watch the entire series on December 18. The marathon begins at 4pm and continues to midnight. The series is also available for you to marathon on your own time through the PBS Video app.
