  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

Hanukkah Lights 2021 – Thursday December 2 at 1:00pm –
The NPR favorite returns with all new Hanukkah stories. Authors TBA. Hosted by Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz.  Hear the program on-demand and find stories from previous years at NPR’s website.

Candles Burning Brightly – Friday December 3 at 1:00pm –
A one-hour celebration of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights with an exploration of Chanukah foods and traditional activities … and plenty of music. You can hear the program on-demand from American Public Media’s website which includes bonus material.
