Set the table for The Splendid Table this weekend

After a brief hiatus from WITF's radio schedule, the weekly program about food and culture returns.

WITF is making a small revision to our weekly schedule by returning The Splendid Table to the schedule Sunday at 1pm.

The Splendid Table hosts conversations about cooking, sustainability and food culture and has introduced us to generations of food dignitaries.

Host Francis Lam brings to the table a modern, multicultural weekly snapshot of the food world – exploring different cultures, cuisines and ideas, as well as the small personal stories that come out of the expansive world.

As a former restaurant cook and culinary school graduate, Francis can handle virtually any food query and loves taking listeners’ calls. He is keenly interested in people and their stories and believes that one of the keys to understanding people better is to learn what they cook and how they eat. Francis succeeded long-time host Lynne Rossetto Kasper in January 2018.

The Splendid Table also airs weekly America’s Test Kitchen segments featuring a variety of America’s Test Kitchen personalities including Bridget Lancaster, Jack Bishop, Dan Souza, Tucker Shaw and Molly Birnbaum. America’s Test Kitchen broadcasts weekly on WITF TV at 3pm Mondays (new time as of Oct. 4) and Saturday 12:30pm.

The Innovation Hub which previously broadcast at 1pm is ending production.  The last episode broadcast on September 26 on WITF.
