The Pennsylvania Environmental Defense Foundation (PEDF) filed a petition in Commonwealth Court last week, seeking repayment to the Oil and Gas Lease Fund in compliance with recent Supreme Court rulings.

The group said that since 2009, lawmakers have diverted $1.3 billion dollars from the fund to pay for other things, to include operations at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

John Childe, Esq., Legal Counsel for the PEDF appears on Smart Talk Thursday to discuss the suit, as well as other ways drilling revenue has been wrongly allocated.
