Penn State’s 2021 football schedule features tough road slate

The Lions will open the season Saturday, September 4th on the road in Wisconsin.

(University Park)  —  Penn State has released its 2021 football schedule approved by the Big Ten Conference and it looks to be rather nasty for the Lions away from home.

The schedule lists 12-games, 7-home and 5-away.

The Lions will open the season Saturday, September 4th on the road in Wisconsin.

Other away games include Iowa, Ohio State, Maryland and Michigan State.

Penn State’s first home game will be Saturday, September 11th against Ball State.

The Lions will also play host to Auburn, Villanova, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Rutgers.

The complete 2021 schedule is below.  All start times and television designations are to be determined.

Sept. 11     Ball State

Sept. 18     Auburn

Sept. 25     Villanova

Oct. 2         Indiana

Oct. 9         at Iowa

Oct. 16       Bye Week

Oct. 23       Illinois

Oct. 30       at Ohio State

Nov. 6        at Maryland

Nov. 13      Michigan

Nov. 20      Rutgers

Nov. 27       at Michigan State
