  Fred Vigeant is WITF's Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio. Fred manages the schedules for our radio and television platforms. He also analyzes audience research and manages the public affairs program Smart Talk. Previously, Fred was at WRVO in Oswego, NY for 12 years serving in various roles including Program Director and before that Operations Manager. Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Broadcasting.

PBS NewsHour presents a special report The Electoral College Count Wednesday January 6 on WITF.

This live program will include coverage of the congressional joint session to count the electoral votes for President of the United States.

PBS NewsHour host Judy Woodruff will be joined by reporters and experts to provide analysis along the way.

Special coverage begins at 12:30pm (preempting previously scheduled programming) and continues to 5:00pm.  PBS NewsHour will continue a livestream of the joint session should it continue beyond 5:00pm, however the broadcast coverage will conclude by that point regardless.
