Our Body Politic Special Series
Our Body Politic will focus on women of color as a super-demographic in American politics and ask how we can save and improve our own lives and that of our nation. This series runs from the end of September through mid-November Mondays at 2:00pm on WITF.
Our Body Politic’s first episode on WITF September 28 at 2:00pm will look at the most pressing issues right now—COVID-19, the Census, and disinformation and the upcoming election—through the lens of Black and women of color on the front lines, effecting change and shaping outcomes.

About the host:
Farai Chideya is an award winning journalist who has covered the economy and jobs, politics, and race relations during her thirty-year career. She has reported on every Presidential election since 1996. During the 2016 election she was a Senior Writer covering politics and data at ESPN’s FiveThirtyEight, and a Distinguished Writer in Residence at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. She is also the former longtime host of NPR’s News & Notes, and the author of six books including The Color of Our Future, a deep dive into the changing racial demographics of this country from the perspective of young Americans.

Our Body Politic runs Mondays at 2:00pm beginning September 28. This replaces the repeat of Reveal which continues to broadcast Sunday. Reveal resumes in the Monday time slot in mid-November.
