Fugitives who visited Lancaster County caught in Michigan

(Battle Creek, Michigan) —  Two prison escapees who were spotted in Lancaster County have been arrested in Michigan.

The U.S.  Department of Justice says 18-year old Rashad Williams and 20-year old Jabar Taylor were captured without incident  Saturday night at a hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The two were on the run for nearly two weeks after assaulting a correctional officer and escaping from a Virginia jail.

They were convicted of various charges including second-degree murder and robbery.

The fugitives were spotted at a hotel and a Turkey Hill store in the Lancaster area shortly after their escape.
