(Battle Creek, Michigan) — Two prison escapees who were spotted in Lancaster County have been arrested in Michigan.
The U.S. Department of Justice says 18-year old Rashad Williams and 20-year old Jabar Taylor were captured without incident Saturday night at a hotel in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The two were on the run for nearly two weeks after assaulting a correctional officer and escaping from a Virginia jail.
They were convicted of various charges including second-degree murder and robbery.
The fugitives were spotted at a hotel and a Turkey Hill store in the Lancaster area shortly after their escape.
