2 Fugitives who escaped Virginia jail could be in Lancaster County

  • Craig Rhodes

(Lancaster) — A pair of dangerous fugitives who escaped from a Virginia jail last Monday are believed to possibly be in Lancaster County.

Federal law enforcement officials are hunting for 18-year old Rashad Williams and 20-year old Jabar Taylor.

The two were convicted of charges that included murder and malicious wounding.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office said Saturday the two stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton on Granite Run Drive last week and could still be in the Lancaster area.

The D.A.’s office says surveillance footage confirmed the men were also recently at a Turkey Hill store on Granite Run Drive and the Manheim Pike.

Local law enforcement officials are assisting U.S. Marshals with searches and efforts to locate the fugitives.

A reward of $5,000 apiece has been offered for information that leads to their capture.
