(Harrisburg) — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (LCB) has raised the limit for curbside orders to 12 units, double from the previous six-bottle limit. Requirements for the pickup orders still include placing orders online, touchless payment and social distancing however.
There are a total of 580 State Stores now offering curbside pickup. Only four stores temporarily closed for renovations are not offering the service currently. All retail stores remain closed to public entry, although additional information regarding stories in counties moving to “yellow” in the state’s three-phased reopening plan on May 8th is due out later this week.
Unaudited sales figures for curbside pickup last week totaled over 146-thousand orders for $10.99 million. E-commerce sales at www.finewineandgoodspirits.com for the month of April totaled $11.14 million, excluding sales tax. That is more than double for fiscal year 2018-19, which ended last June.
The LCB operates nearly 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers and handlers.
