(Harrisburg) — Following the lead of Governor Tom Wolf, the Chancellor of the State System of Higher Education has suspended in-person instruction.
Daniel Greenstein said last night that in the interest of the health and safety of all Pennsylvanians, he is directing that no in-person instruction occur at the 14 state-owned universities for a two week period from March 16th through the 29th.
“In the days and weeks ahead, it’s important for us to come together, exercise patience, and collaborate with one another as we confront our collective challenges. This is going to take everybody doing their part for the sake of our students,” Greenstein said.
He encouraged students, faculty and staff to be in contact with their home universities for direct information.
On Friday night Governor Wolf announced the closure of all schools in Pennsylvania for the same two week period as another measure aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus.
