(State College) — Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna has issued a statement regarding recent allegations made by a former Penn State football player, who said he was hazed by teammates.
His office received the report last April, after university police conducted an investigation and interviewed witnesses.
He said his office’s investigation so far does not substantiate the serious allegations Isaiah Humphries made, and no criminal charges were filed.
“What I mean by that is that the evidence doesn’t meet the high threshold of filing and proving criminal charges beyond reasonable doubt,” Cantorna said.
In the civil lawsuit Humphries filed in federal court, he alleged that some players imitated sexual acts in the shower and that older players made threats to younger players.
Cantorna said the case is open for review, if additional information is reported.
