(Kempton) — The mother of an 8-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister found hanging in their Berks County home has been charged with their murder.
Prosecutors announced Lisa Snyder’s arrest Monday. It’s not known if she’s retained an attorney.
Snyder told authorities that she found Conner and Brinley Snyder in their Albany homes on Sept. 23. Police have said the siblings were found hanging in the basement.
Medical personnel revived the children, but they died three days later. An autopsy was inconclusive. The coroner has said forensic testing is needed before he can rule on the cause and manner of death.
Prosecutors say more details on the arrest would be announced at a 2:00 p.m. news conference.
