#9 Penn State Seals Win over #24 Indiana

(University Park)—Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford scored with 1:44 remaining in the game to secure the Nittany Lions 34-27 win over Indiana Saturday afternoon in Beaver Stadium. Clifford was responsible for three touchdowns on the day. His 1-yard run on fourth down gave No. 9 Penn State (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) a 10 -point lead at that point.
Running back Journey Brown rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown to compliment Clifford’s offense.
No. 24 Indiana was led by quarterback Peyton Ramsey, who threw for 371 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for two touchdowns.
The two teams racked up 31 points in the first quarter, with Penn State leading 20-14 at the half. Clifford’s touchdown late in the fourth quarter capped an 18-play, 75-yard drive that consumed just over 9 minutes of the final period.
Penn State visits No. 2 Ohio State next Saturday. They’ll finish the regular season back home by hosting Rutgers on Nov. 30.
