#9 Penn State Looks to Extend Home Streak Against #24 Indiana

State College)-Penn State hosts the Hoosiers of Indiana University for its annual Military Appreciation Game today in Beaver Stadium.  #24 Indiana is the fourth Top 25 opponent in the last five games for the 9th ranked Nitanny Lions.

At 7-2 this season, Indiana is off to its best start since 1993, and have entered the AP top 25 rankings for the first time since September of 1994 this week.

Penn State’s quarterback, Sean Clifford leads the Big Ten conference with over 2,200 passing yards, averaging 252 yards per game.

Defensively, Penn State ranks fifth nationally in scoring defense and 13th in total defense.  The Nitanny Lions have recorded 31 sacks through nine games and rank 10th in the country with 8.1 tackles for loss per game.

The game is the first in Beaver Stadium in almost a month.  The last contest was a win over Michigan before more than 110,000 for a white-out game.  Penn State is currently riding a seven game home winning streak that dates back to last season.

The game kicksoff at noon and will be televised on ABC.
