(Lower Swatara) — A lengthy standoff spurred by a domestic dispute in a Pennsylvania town ended with a police officer shot and a man facing charges.

Lower Swatara police responded late Monday to a unit in a trailer park where a woman was reportedly being held against her will.

When officers entered the unit, authorities say they were met with gunfire and an officer was shot in the leg. It’s not clear if any officers returned fire.

Meanwhile, other officers were able to escape the unit with the woman, and the standoff soon ensued. It ended around 5 a.m. Tuesday when Andrew Park was taken into custody,

The wounded officer was treated at a hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening. The woman suffered minor injuries, but it wasn’t clear if Park was hurt. It’s not known if he’s retained an attorney.
