(New Oxford) — Police say a recently fired employee at a poultry processing facility in Adams County returned to the business, shot and killed his former boss and then himself.

Officers with the Eastern Adams Regional Police Department were dispatched to Plainville Farms distribution facility in New Oxford at around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

The York Daily Record reports the man waited in the parking lot for his boss to arrive and shot him once when he exited the car. He then turned the gun on himself.

Their identities are being withheld until families have been notified.

The facility has since been opened to employees.
