Competition heating up in race for 10th Congressional District

(Harrisburg) — Competition for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District is growing.
The first Republican challenger to sitting GOP Congressman Scott Perry has announced his candidacy.
Bobby Jeffries, 28, said he’s hoping to represent the district, which covers all of Dauphin County and parts of Cumberland and York counties.
Jeffries said he’s a native of the district and a graduate of Millersville University. He works as a logistics director for a health and wellness firm.
The millennial said he wants to show his generation “there are alternatives to being radically progressive. That free markets and personal liberty are worth fighting for.”
Two Democrats are also hoping to unseat Congressman Perry: Attorney Tom Brier and state Auditor General Eugene DePasquale.
DePasquale has picked up an endorsement from Perry’s challenger in the 2018 election. Pastor George Scott lost that race by less than three percentage points.
