(Harrisburg) — The executive director of a midstate social services agency allegedly embezzled more than $200,000.

Federal prosecutors say Shelly Dreyer-Aurila stole $220,000 over a seven-year period in her role at the Perry County Family Center.

The charitable organization receives more than $10,000 in federal grants each year to provide services such as a maternal, infant, and early childhood home visiting program and a child abuse prevention program.

Dreyer-Aurila, 53, faces up to ten years in prison if found guilty.
