(Harrisburg) — A 100 mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike is set to close tonight for a major construction project.

Weather permitting, Turnpike officials say the toll road will shut down in both directions from the New Stanton exit to the Breezewood interchange.

It’s scheduled to take place from 11pm tonight until 5am Sunday morning, so construction crews can erect steel beams for the North Center Avenue Bridge project which will cross over the Turnpike in Somerset County.

Detour information will be provided to motorists at the North Somerset and North Midway service plazas.

Information is also available online, at paturnpike.com/webmap.
