(Harrisburg) — A midstate middle school teacher has been arrested on felony charges, after investigators said they found illegal drugs in her home.

The state Attorney General’s office said it began investigating Lisa Marszalek, a 47-year-old science teacher at New Cumberland Middle School in Cumberland County, earlier this month.

During the course of the investigation, prosecutors said two controlled buys of cocaine and the prescription drug Adderall were made in Marszalek’s home.

Investigators said they learned she was set to chaperone an overnight school trip with several students, and so agents executed a search warrant of her home to intervene.

The AG’s office said they found about 250 Adderall pills, an ounce of cocaine, and seven grams of methamphetamine. The drugs have a combined street value of $7,000.

Marszalek is charged with possession, possession with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail is set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 21.
