Bill and Diana Walker of Dover Township were leaving for church on Sunday morning when she spotted something lying in their driveway.

Bill went to get it and found a little plastic bag with something inside. It was wet from the rain overnight, so he scooped it up with a shovel and placed it on top of a trash can.

After church, the couple took a closer look. The bag contained some birdseed and a flier from the Ku Klux Klan calling for racial segregation.

“It was just a surprise and a shock,” Diana Walker said.

The couple, who is African-American, reported it to Northern York County Regional Police.

Police could not be reached for comment.
