More rain is on the way this week

(Undated) — Don’t put away your umbrellas and raincoats just yet. It looks like the midstate is in for another wet week.
On Monday, the rain is set to return. And, according to The Weather Channel, it could rain in York County for 14 straight days , starting yesterday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures in the 80s and a chance of rain every day this week, with the greatest likelihood of a downpour today and Wednesday.
“We might have a front hanging over us,” said Michael Colbert, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in State College. “But it’s definitely not going to be anything as impressive as last week.”
York County got close to 12 inches of rain last week, according to The National Weather Service, and Colbert said he is predicting another 2 inches this week.
The high today is expected to be 82 degrees, with a 70 percent chance of rain, according to the weather service. The forecast calls for a chance of showers before 8 a.m., then a chance of thunderstorms until noon, then a possible thunderstorm in the late afternoon and evening.
Showers are likely and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, the weather service says. The forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of precipitation and a high of 84 degrees.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday are each expected to be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high temperatures will be 83, 82 and 83 degrees, respectively.
“So while we won’t see the same flooding rains we did last week,” Colbert said. “It’s definitely not going to be dry.”
