York firefighters Ivan Flanscha, Zachary Anthony embodied heroism

(York) — York City firefighters Ivan Flanscha and Zachary Anthony embodied heroism.
Tragically, Flanscha, 50, of Red Lion, and Anthony, 29, of York, died from injuries suffered Thursday in the line of duty battling a fire at the old Weaver Organ & Piano building in York.
While a community and beyond has reached out to support their families, friends and colleagues, there will be further opportunities to celebrate their lives and mourn their passing this week.
Their obituaries this weekend provided details in who they were.

Flanscha, for example, was born in Iowa, graduated from York College, was a father to five and a beloved son, husband and brother.
Anthony, born in Allentown, earned his fire schooling in Florida. He, too, was a cherished husband, son and brother.
Details of private services can be found in the individual obituaries, while a combined public service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Hall at the York Fairgrounds.
