(York) — Some details about Wednesday’s memorial service for fallen firefighters Ivan Flanscha and Zachary Anthony are becoming clearer.

The service will feature several speakers, including York mayor Michael Helfrich, U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Governor Tom Wolf and International Association of Fire Fighters general president Harold A. Schaitberger.

Community leader reverend Aaron Anderson will serve as the emcee of the service. Music will be provided by the York Symphony Chorus, led by Dr. Kathleen Shannon. York City Fire Department chaplain Reverend Kevin T. Shively will lead the community in prayer.

Organizers are prepping for as many as 5,000 people to attend Wednesday’s memorial service.

The service will take place on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the York Expo Center’s Mid Atlantic Industrial Equipment Memorial Hall.

Any fire department wishing to bring fire apparatus should arrive at the York Expo Center between 9 and 10:45 a.m. and enter through Gate 8A on Highland Avenue. Vehicles arriving after 10:45 a.m. will not be part of the display.

There will not be a procession after the memorial service.

Flanscha and Anthony died on Thursday after part of the former Weaver Organ and Piano building collapsed, trapping them and two others. Flanscha and Anthony were pronounced dead at York Hospital Thursday night. The other two firefighters were injured.
