(Lebanon) — The Sexual Assault Resource and Counseling Center of Lebanon and Schuykill Counties (SARCC) has named Alissa Mailen Perrotto as the second president/CEO in orgainzation history.

Perrotto will bring local knowledge and broader experience to the center. She began her career with SARCC before working for the National Sexual Violence Resource Center and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape.

“Ms. Perrotto is going to be ready to serve with minimal transition her first day. She knows the organization and the communities we serve. She brings a plethora of experiences with clients, community activism, and nonprofit management that will benefit SARCC as we move forward,” said Christine Verdier, search committee chair and vice president of the board of directors.

Perotto has a master’s degree from Pennsylvania State and a bachelor of science degree in social science economics from the University of Scranton, according to the release.

She will replace Jenny Murphy-Shifflet, who is retiring after 29 years of leadership at SARCC.

The center operates a variety of programs for the public, schools, and victims to help prevent sexual violence in Lebanon and Schuykill counties.
