John Oliver’s show bid on and won five wax Gettysburg presidents

(Undated) — When the Hall of Presidents and First Ladies in Gettysburg auctioned off their wax figures of U.S. Presidents in January, some of the bidders were famous.
MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, comedian Jon Stewart and late night talk show host Stephen Colbert were among them.
Now, we can add John Oliver, host of HBO’s Last Week Tonight, to the list. He bid on and won not one, but five replica statues: Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, William Henry Harrison and Warren G. Harding.

Regarding Harding, Oliver and his show decided to make a fake movie trailer about the life and presidency of the 29th President of the United States, starring Anna Kendrick, James Cromwell, Laura Linney and of course, the wax replica of Warren Harding.
The trailer is played for laughs, with the wax replica treated like a real person despite being motionless. It gets a bit graphic at times, too.
