High winds forecast for the Mid State

(State College) — The National Weather service has issued a  wind advisory for south central Pennsylvania from 11pm tonight until 5pm Monday.

Forecasters say winds will increase Sunday night and persist for much of Monday.

Winds will gust at times to between 45 and 55 mph.

The National Weather Service says the strong winds will be capable of blowing down tree limbs, trees and power lines.  They say scattered power outages are expected.

Affected areas include Franklin, Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
