Continuing Coverage Entry: 2016 presidential race in PA
The 2016 presidential race in Pennsylvania was historic.
Long considered a battleground state in name only, Donald Trump became the first Republican presidential candidate to win the commonwealth since 1988.
WITF focused on telling stories that included not only the candidates’ rallies and analysis from political observers, but also the views of potential voters on issues like poverty, the potential for voter fraud and energy.
This entry highlights excerpts from the department’s work from the end of the Democratic National Convention through the state’s Electoral College vote in December.
