Trump packs the Giant Center

(Hershey) — Barring last-minute schedule updates, Donald Trump’s rally in Hershey Friday night may have been his last in the state.

It was a raucous, fired-up crowd that greeted  the Republican candidate.

Just days from the election, national and statewide presidential polls have tightened significantly.

With Democrat Hillary Clinton entangled in FBI leaks about her email server, Trump has stayed largely on-message and out of the news.

He kept that up in Hershey, moving through talking points on Clinton’s untrustworthiness, the danger of Syrian refugees, and loss of oil and coal jobs.

And he said repeatedly, he believes Pennsylvania is in play.

“Pennsylvania, you are so important. Everyone talks, Pennsylvania–if you win Pennsylvania, you’re gonna win. Pennsylvaniaaaaaaaa!,” Trump said.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway says having a key GOP leader on hand is a sign the party’s unified pre-election.

“Reince Preibus was here with us, and he is–he represents the Republican national committee. He’s the chairman. And Mr. Trump has done his part in unifying the party by becoming its nominee fairly and squarely,” she said.

One recent poll  shows a neck and neck race in the commonwealth, but the statewide average has Clinton up by three.
