The Big Ten season begins today for Penn State

(Ann Arbor, MI) — Penn State starts its 24th season of Big Ten play this afternoon when they take on the fourth-ranked Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The Wolverines are heavy favorites over the Lions, who have proven they can score a lot of points under new offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead, they’ve just been having trouble preventing them.
Penn State has also been mistake prone, losing six fumbles so far this season.
Head Coach James Franklin says the offense can help the defense by holding onto the football.
“The thing that we have to do is hold onto the ball. We’ve got to be more ball secure. That’s something that is going to be very important to us, something we’ve done a fairly good job of in the past, and we need to make sure that we get back to doing that,” Franklin said.
Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines come into the game undefeated and a 19-point favorite.
