Two dead identified in Fawn Twp shooting

“Investigative information indicates that this is an isolated incident specific to this residence,” state police said

(Fawn Grove) — Foday Cheeks, a 31-year-old man from Fawn Township, York County, was killed on Tuesday night inside his home in the 700 block of Brown Road.

Danielle Taylor, a 26-year-old woman from Spring Grove, was also found dead in the home, the county coroner

Pennsylvania State Police responded to the incident at 10 p.m. after shots were reported. They found the two victims dead.

There were other people inside the home, but they fled at the time of the incident and were unharmed, the coroner said in a news release.

Autopsies are scheduled for Thursday morning.

“Investigative information indicates that this is an isolated incident specific to this residence,” state police reported in a news release.

No further details were provided.

State police continue investigating, calling it “criminal homicide.”

Cheeks was charged with possession with intent to deliver drugs in Fawn Township in May by state police, court records show.

He was to have a pre-trial conference on Dec. 7, according to court dockets. He was arrested May 12 and posted $25,000 bail on May 16.
