(York) — Seven people have submitted applications get on the ballot for a state House seat in the midstate.
The York County Democratic Party asked for the applications because current Representative Kevin Schreiber is stepping down at the end of his term to take a job with an economic development group.
The prospective candidates include the president of York City’s City Council, the communications director for York’s mayor, and the president of the West York Borough Council are among the candidates.
A forum is set for Wednesday night, from 7 to 8:30 at The Bond in downtown York.
The county’s Democratic Party will then pick a candidate to appear on the November ballot against the Republican’s choice.
